Tamoxifen and chest infections / asthma

Started tamoxifen in February this year , by April had wheezy phleming cough and trouble breathing . Oncologist agreed to try stopping tamoxifen for a month . I am now 5 days without tamoxifen and can feel improvements every day . I am jumping for joy as chemo induced lung damage was a possibility . On the other hand I still need to find an alternative to tamoxifen . Any experience with this anyone ?
