I started on tamoxifen about 2 weeks ago. Not feeling bad so far, but I feel hot 99% of the time. I don’t feel like it is hot flushes as such as it lasts so long - hours then an hour or so of normal temperature.
I have read that hormones control body temperature so I am not worried, more interested in others’ experiences.
This only causes a problem when it happens in the middle of the night.

Hi , yes I felt hot most of the time on Tamoxifen with the occasional blast of intense heat !!! I haven’t needed more than a summer duvet ever since and I was a really cold person. I think often things do settle down after the first couple of months but it’s very common to continue with hot flushes whilst on Tamoxifen.
i’ve been on tamoxifen for only 5 days and within hours i felt hot. it’s not a hot flush but just a constant feeling of being warm - almost inside my body if that makes sense. very wierd. only other side effects so far have been pins and needles and oddly not feeling hungry (i’m hungry all the time so that’s a surprise) also have developed a cold (i haven’t had a cold for years- but i have always taken tumeric which you can’t take with tamoxifen) . i’m taking tillirand brand and have been taking it at night just before getting into bed. i had to stop HRT suddenly in april before my surgery and have been prescribed it for 10 years. in 52 and premenopausal. i’m worried about the impact it will have on my body.
