Im not sure whether this is to do with tamoxifen, or nerve damage from hormone therapy, or something else, but I’m experiencing what I can only describe as fizzy legs. It’s an internal feeling, like my legs are full of lemonade! Not sure if that makes sense, but if anyone else has the same problem, you will know what I mean. Does it resolve itself, and what helps?
Hi @Sue C - not sure if I have the same thing (I haven’t started Tamoxifen yet, am having chemo at mo) but I do get what I think of as restless legs when I’m in bad. Feels a bit like they want to run away… I find if I take the covers off and shake them a bit, if goes off. I have a feeling that I already had it and that it is part of menopausal symptoms… Not sure.
Hi ladies…yes this is a great description…I also have fizzy legs and more so in the evening…I have a roller that is designed to use on your face but I use it up and down my calves and this helps me x
Hi Sue, I’m on letrozole but have also had fizzy tingly feet which is really really annoying when trying to get to sleep! I have found that making sure my feet are warm helps, not walking barefoot, and wearing bedsocks - my theory is bedsocks keep the circulation up and also distracts from the tingles. You could mention it to a GP to make sure you’re not deficient in vitamins or minerals eg B12, iron etc, or are too high in calcium etc. Hope this helps.
