Hi everyone
Ive started taking Tamoxifen after a lumpectomy and before Rads. Ive been on it about 10 days and have started to suffer from hay fever like symptoms - sneezing, stuffy sinuses and sore throat. I suffer badly from hay fever but it’s a bit early for that. Im wondering whether it an allergic reaction to the Tamoxifen. Has any one else had similar symptoms? Thanks for your responses

I’ve always had hayfever and other allergies, however I have found my nose/sinuses seem to be more sensitive than pre-breast cancer treatments. I asked the medics if it was possible Tamoxifen makes the nose skin lining more sensitive re allergies and while they didn’t seem to think it likely one or two have said it may be possible.
My GP was more of the view that when you get run down, your immunity dips a tad, which may make any existing allergic tendencies worse.
