I have been taking tamoxifen for 6 wks and havebeen taking thyroxine for 3 yrs. Waiting for blood test results as my hair is thining and GP is’nt sure if there is a connection, vitmain deficiency or stress. Has anyone else had this problem?
Have you escaped Chemo? if not, how long ago?
I’ve been on Thyroxine since '92. Had 3 Fec and 3 Tax - last one end of April 2010, and am on Femara. My already very fine hair has been very slow to grow back, I am most certainly lagging behind others that had Chemo the same time as me. There does seem to be a connection between Tax and especially slow return of hair. Also hair does slow down growth in the winter months.
I do a yoga class where one of the ladies lost all her hair, eyebrows etc and all, due to stress, so maybe it’s just that!

Had bc at 41 in 1988, straightforward lumpectomy and radiotherapy. Had routine mammogram bc confirmed 9 wks ago followed by mxt and recon. This in same breast as before but different type, consultant said it is just “bad luck”. I recovered well the first time , but this has really knocked me for six.
