Tamoxifen before surgery

Would anyone be able to tell me if they had to stop tamoxifen two weeks before their reconstructive surgery.

I seem to be getting conflicting messages - one doctor said yes to stop another said no you do not have to. Any help appreciated.

I continued to take mine all the way through even in hosp after the recon op. I made sure that I moved my legs as much as possible, like the exercises you do on a plane. Also I had to wear those gorgeous surgical stockings all the time and each night I had a blood thinning injection. I asked but was told I should continue to take it.
