I am so confused! I went onto 20mg of Tamoxifen in August which made me very tearful etc…it was changed to 10mg which i found to be much better, but still a bit moody or tearful, so when I returned to hospital today the consultant now put me on exemestane Aromasin but after reading the blurb inside pack not sure if want to take this.
Now what??

Don’t forget that the blurb mentions all the possible side effects but that doesn’t necessarily mean you’re going to get all of them.
I’ve been on Aromasin since July 07. I do have some side effects (hot flushes and sweats, plus stiff joints) but it’s not too bad. I simply put up with the side effects and remind myself that hopefully the drug is preventing the cancer from coming back.
Why not try the Aromasin and see how you get on?

I switched from Tamoxifen (after 2 and a half years) in July this year to Aromasin. I have fewer hot flushes and haven’t really noticed any other side effects - might be worth a try?
