Tamoxifen Side Effects and Brands

Hi Everyone,

 

i am 38 and have been taking Tamoxifen since October after chemo, double mx and recon and rads.

 

i am really struggling with various side effects on different brands and hoping anyone can help with a good brand. I was on RelinChem and that gave be terrible trapped wind,’then Genesis gave me joint pain and really bad tiredness and then now on Teva and the sweats have come back, tiredness and my brain function is terrible I mix up words, forget what I am talking about and zone out and get quite bad headaches. 

 

I also found the past couple of weeks I can’t have a drink without getting really dizzy and feeling absolutely dreadful the next day.

 

Does anyone have any advice on a brand that might not give me as many side effects. I just keep hearing everyone likes Teva and I don’t and I can’t understand why and I am panicking.

Sorry to hear you are struggling with side effects :heart:

 

I have only been taking tamoxifen for 4 weeks now and so far I’m ok (maybe it’s too early to tell ?) I have been given Wockhardt - maybe it’s worth a try?
