Hi all… I’m new to this site. I started taking T in November 2021 after double mastectomy, onco score 6, Invasive Lobular Carcinoma, no spread, stage 1, er/pr+. This is my 2nd cancer diagnosis. I underwent radiation in 1991 as a result of Hodgkins Lymphoma. Oncologist now saying BC I just had is from the radiation I had in 91. Heartburn and upper back pain seem to have just started within the last couple of weeks. Seems “normal” as I’ve read here about others experiencing this also. Any tips? I currently take it first thing in the morning.
I had a lumpectomy and no chemo just radiotherapy in October 21.
I don’t have those side effects with Tamoxifen.
I was put on it initially because we have osteoarthritis in the family and I thought Letrozole would cause me a lot of joint pain. However I am about to move onto Letrozole ( I think - haven’t seen doc yet) as I had low mood with Tamoxifen. Also some constipation and memory not so good.
I could take an antidepressant but will probably try the Letrozole - I’m 67 years old btw.
