I’ve had a complete hystorectomy and im on tamoxifen and the weight gain want stop no matter what i do… My dietician put me on a 1200 calorie diet and the weight just keeps coming… Can anyone give me any adivse please…!!!

Am afraid I haven’t got miracle advice, as I have gained some weight and really struggle to lose it. Exercise, as in walks, helps maintain. 1200 calories is miserable , I would just watch what you eat and allow treats. You have been so much to get there, it’s sad you have to rob yourself of nice things. I view tamoxifen as my life saver so I am learning to accept the side effects and consequences of it more, hate my weight but glad to be alive. I feel your pain, have been there and decided to accept some things I can’t change. Just a thought…have you tried changing brands of tamoxifen? My se’s were much worse on one brand than another, good luck x
Thank you for opioin, my onocolgist said he might change me to another cancer blocker in about 2 or 3 yrs… I am coming to terms with alot as well its hard to see my body change like this but most importanly im alive and cancer free… THANK GOD everyday
