44 yr old who up until Chemo started in March had regular periods and then they stopped. Had one strange 3 day bleed whilst in hospital when contracted infection whilst nuetropenic after first dose of docetaxel. Still no sign of them and wondering if early menopause. Have been having period like cramps but no bleeding. Now been on tamoxifen for 3 months. Anyone else similar? I see my oncologist in few weeks but just thought would throw out here for now x
Hi Lek, I was 43 when diagnosed, my periods stopped after my second FEC and 2 1/2 years ago, been on Tamoxifen for over 2 years and my periods have not returned, my oncologist has advised it’s extremely unlikely they will now.
Thanks for that. Not missing them to be honest…always had a terrible time. So does that mean we have actually gone/going thru the menopause early on top of everything else. I still feel rubbish and wondering now how long before I feel human again and have energy and no pain
