Hi everyone, so I’ve had my first chemo and pic line same day, tried the cold cap but was starting to give me migraine, which would’ve lasted for days, so stopped that there’s no guarantee the hair won’t fall or thin even with it, so I decided to stop as I couldn’t take the pressure on my head. The next day my temp went down to 34c last night was up to 35.1c and now is 36.1 which looks normal, I do have soar throat, a little achey legs and nose is blocked, my little daughter has the flu so I’m just debating wether to go to hospital ir not as it seems temp is getting better.

Hi Sham, I was told that if my temp goes down to 36 or up to 38 I should ring the helpline immediately. Might be worth giving the oncology line a call?

Always best to get advice if in any doubt , they would rather you do that than end up being really unwell . You should have a helpline number ?

Phone the helpline at your oncology unit for advice. They probably want you in and do a blood test to check what’s going on.
