test results or doctors experience

got my results back yesterday for core biopsy they say benign however the doctor is saying he is not convinced he says looks like cancer and feels like cancer so they are going to do another core this time under ultrasound if it comes back neg again they will do incision biopsy. Has this ever happened to anyone else and turned out to be cancer.Lots of staff on holiday just now so next biopsy may take a few weeks to organise i have to wait 2 weeks if appointment not through then i have to phone bcn.this is just going on forever i just need to know one way or the other thanks bablicious

If you are asking have people had benign core results and then found out they have cancer. Sadly the answer is yes. A few ladies on here were told there biopsies were clear and then went on to have cancer. Paula and Moleminum being two of them. Core biopsies are not entirely accurate, so sadly they do get it wrong sometimes. But thats not to say that yours will be. Doctors have been convinced people have not had cancer who turn out to have it so there is no reason they can get it wrong the other way too.

This is not fair that you have to wait this long, maybe give the secretary a call and explain how this is making you feel and ask if the appointment can be arranged earlier.

Best of luck.

Jules.
