I know that NPI = [Nottingham Prognostic Index]
Hi Tally
I did a bit of searching on this when I got my pathology report.
The H score determines how receptive the cancer is to oestrogen and progesterone …and so determines what, if any, hormone treatment you may need to prevent recurrence.
Likewise, the NPI is a score that takes into account the size, spread, aggressiveness etc. of the cancer. I believe it helps the consultants to decide whether chemotherapy/radiotherapy etc are appropriate.
I’m sure there are more knowledgeable people on the forums who can tell you more, but I hope this helps a little.
