I*s anybody else having trouble getting the Teva brand of either Anastrazole or Tamoxifen? My chemist has been giving me Teva for the last 3 years and suddenly I get Accord. Apparently Teva have run out and are waiting for a shipment to arrive (goodness knows from where). Very worrying.

Oh, I will find out in the next few days as I have just put a repeat in for my prescription of Teva tamoxifen.

This happens with Teva couple of times a year .I did get an explanation once but have to confess I can’t remember what it was - very hard to believe a big drug company can run out of drugs !!I think it was something to do with them prioritising selling drugs abroad over U.K.,I will have to search for the thread .
There are quite a few threads re periodic shortage of Teva. One explanation from a doctor was that " suppliers sell their drugs abroad too (for more money). So this is not an uncommon situation."
I noticed that the manufactirer keeps changing mine here is the US.
After the first couple of months on Anastrozole, I’ve managed to stay with Teva for the past 2 years and request it each time - my repeat prescription picked up this week however is Actavis so fingers crossed…

Every year I have the same bother getting the teva tamoxifen, for some reason they stop making it then they start again, it can be very annoying especially when we are all used to that make, try telling them that other makes you have more side effects, don’t want to listen. I will let you know if I have any bother I’m due a prescription next week.x
