Hi ladies,
I was asked by the proprietor of The Dew Drop Inn (chit chat & fun) to consider opening our very own little nook on the The Younger Women forums. I thought what the heck. The BCC moderators felt it more suitable for in chit chat & fun so here it is
Basically this is a little bistro where we can be anything we want to be and do anything we want to do (within BCC moderation though).
For example there is a pot of chicken korma in the kitchen on the simmer with pilau rice and there are Naanās in the oven.
I have just made a pitcher of strawberry daquiriās to quench our thirst.
Anyone is welcome who wants to have a light hearted evening of good craic (gossip/laugh) and good company.
THE BAR IS OFFICIALLY OPENED!!
Ooh can I have some?
Big plate of curry and some daiquiris for me please.
Itād be good to have a chat with some of the youngers ones.
Love Kate xx
HI Kate,
Welcome to the newly opened BCC Bistro
Do you realise this place used to be a knicker shop?
Think itās looking better now.
One plate coming up, careful itās hot (temp),
Hope you enjoy.
Lisa
Hello,
Iāve already had korma with my three little pigs - keep telling them itās time to find their own way into the world, but theyāre having none of it! Would love a cider, if youāve got one - I go a bit loopy on anything else - though gin makes me happy too!
Is there an upper age limit - Iām 39? I mean question mark upper age limit - Iām definitely 39.
Sallyxx
LOL no, I really donāt know why they have a younger women forum but I frequent the Dew Drop Inn and noticed not many āyoungerā women go in.
Magners/Bulmers or Strongbow or any other in particular you would like, anything you want is behind our neat little bar
Strongbow would be lovely - apparently you drink Magners with ice now and I donāt like that - waters it down, donāt you know.
hi mines all of the above ciders! cheers x
No problems ladies, drink up thereās plenty more where that came from.
So how have your days been so far?
Mineās been great - did absolutely no housework, sat out in the sun - gorgeous day here in London - just been to Ile de Re in France for a weekend with my mother and two of my sisters - Iām actually having a āI love my lifeā moments - have been in VERY short supply this past year!
Sallyxxx
Wow Sally that sounds fab, Iāve done no housework but really need to pull my finger out before chemo starts
My house has been a mess for ages OH and I huff with each other so nothing gets done LOL
My day has been good too not so much sunshine here in N. Ireland unfortunately
Well, it helps that OH is out hosting a āVERY IMPORTANTā dinner (LOL) so I can do what I want - might even watch Big Brother - so there! Heās very nice though - so much in fact, Iām marrying him in September! We have 6 kids between us, so this weekend was fab - no demands!
Hi sunny day here in the North East. Can I have a strongbow and Korma and rice as Im starving and canāt be bothered to cook. Fab idea Lisa keep it up.
LOL, I was talking to Jen today from the DDI and she suggested it.
What date is your big say Sally?
Hi Ann how you feeling today?
Hey
Any blue wicked !! i like a sweet drink and do you do sweet and sour as well as korma??
The big day is 20th September - second time round for both of us - OHās first wife passed away from BC a few years ago and he stayed with me when I was diagnosed last year, so heās my darling man - always was though, really. My 2 stepdaughters are going to be bridesmaids and his son is going to be an usher with my oldest son.
I think there will be tears - I really want to give a āspeechā just to tell him how much I appreciate and love him for staying with me, to my boys for being brilliant about moving to London from Norfolk, and to my stepchildren for being āwickedā!
OMG really havenāt a clue what happened there, this was supposed to be for the younger ladies only as there is an open one already in chit chat & fun.
OK ladies I donāt want to step on anyoneās toes so can we all vacate the premises and head over to the Dew Drop Inn the welcome in there is very good also, I have done a few shifts behind the bar myself
Hi good day except for kicking and throwing plastic sports bottle around the kitchen today donāt ask
Are you all still out there or am I sitting on my own?
Iām still here - donāt like bar hopping that much!
Ah well we can stay in here.
That is so annoying but sure thing.
Right what can I get you ladies.
Take it you arenāt footie fans then, it always seems to be quiet when thereās a match on
