Hi all
There was article today in the Scottish “Sunday Post “called The Honest Truth” about cancer. This page discusses a different topic every week. It refers to all kinds of cancer but I found it interesting and if anyone is interested they can Google the name of the paper and then the article.
Love and take care

Hi Thistle
Just looked up the article and think its a great, really sensible, no nonsense, accessible piece. A bit of fresh air in a sea of media hype.
And nice to hear that the guy being interviewed was involved in the trials for the anti emetic ondanesetron…without it I doubt I’d have stuck chemo.
Thanks
Jane
Hi Thistle
It is a good article, mainly because it is direct and easy to understand. He explains well how genetics play only a small role in cancer development as too other lifestyle factors such as diet, attitude etc, (except smoking) which at least makes me feel a lot less guilty for my role in my cancer development. My son had ondansetron for chemo nausea in 1992. Hardly any of the children suffered from vomitting which was brilliant. I remember his oncologist saying what a wonder drug it was and that it wasnt licensed for adults yet.
Thanks for pointing out the article.
Cathy

I haven’t bought the Sunday Post for ages (I’m in Scotland) and am glad to have been directed to this excellent article, so thanks for that.
Thistle,
That was a brilliant article - thank you so much for letting us all know about it - and yes, thank goodness for the anti sickness drug.
