There are some fantastic volunteering opportunities available with Breast Cancer Care in Scotland.

Hi All, please see below for all the details about these great volunteering opportunities.

Become an Information Point volunteer and help us make sure that people visiting breast clinics have easy access to information leaflets and resources.

Breast Cancer Care information points are designed to help make sure that people visiting breast clinics have easy access to information leaflets and resources, and to make it easy for the breast care nursing team to provide them with these.

Each information point is filled with a selection of top titles from our range of information, including leaflets on breast health, breast cancer and Breast Cancer Care. The information point complements the resources provided by the nursing team. It allows patients time to browse through what’s available and provides an important source of information for them to take home.  A key benefit of the information point service is the regular upkeep of the information point by Breast Cancer Care.

The main tasks involved:

  • Visiting the information point at regular intervals (once a fortnight)
  • Keeping the information point well organised and fully stocked
  • Reporting problems

For an application pack please email volunteer.hub@breastcancercare.org.uk or for more information call Joanne Stewart on 0141 353 8341.

The specific areas we are recruiting for are below.
