I had a lumpectomy with radiotherapy 4 years ago in right breast. I have noticed recently that there is thickening around the right side of my nipple near the scar. Just wondered if anyone else has experienced this and weather it is scar tissue? I am going to make an appointment with my BCN tomorrow, but am a little worried.
Hi Mollybelle. Of course you’re worried! One little twinge, pain, cough etc sends me into panic. I hope it’s absolutely nothing to worry about:)

As well as the support you recieve here you might find it helpful to talk things through with a member of staff on the BCC helpline. Here you can share your thoughts and concerns with someone who will offer you a listening ear as well as emotional support and pratical information.
