Thickening

Hoping someone can just clarify; i have been to my local family doctor and he has sent me for an U/S which isn’t until Thursday next week. But a bit of back story first;
My right breast has always been quite a lot larger compared with my left (C cup compared to an almost DD, awkward my entire life) so I’ve never really taken much notice. Fast forward a couple of weeks ago I felt a lump under my right armpit and also the same lump under my left (phew, i thought) my husband had a suspected mini stroke last thursday and I’ve woken up Saturday to an uncomfortable right boob. Like; heavy, uncomfortable. Something doesn’t feel right. It’s more my boob has grown (although it doesn’t seem bigger) and is impacting on the skin under my boob against my ribs… if that makes sense?

Anyway, my doctor found some thickening in my right boob and now I’m just wondering if the thickening has anything to do with the uncomfortable pressure under my boob (best way to explain could possibly be where your bra under wire would go) i swear I can see my skin dimple a little at the top left of my boob when i raise my arms over my head (the thickening is around the bottom left of my boob)

I don’t know what I’m actually asking, I suppose i just want to find out if the symptoms are something a little worrying or like my doctor I shouldn’t be worried (he told me not to stress, he’s sure it’s nothing) I have been under a lot of stress because of my poor husband but I’m also so worried.

Hi Squeaky,
Well, the only way to find out is the U/S, so its good you’ve been referred. Mostly any breast changes turn out not to be anything serious, so try to put it out of your mind until the appointment. Hope your husband is ok
