Hi, had Mx and sentinal node biopsy on 12/12/12 and have appointment at breast clinic on 31/12/12 to find out results of biopsy and hopefully what treatment I’m likely to have.

Hoping they were clear and that I don’t need rads or chemo. They might just put me on hormone tablets as cancer was es+ and pr+.

Thank you all for your good wishes. Don’t feel too bad, just a bit sore under arm pit, down side where drain came out and along scar. And although I have good use of arm, can’t stretch as far as I used to, but I’m sure that will improve. Odd thing is, RA has become a lot worse, especially my hips and lower back - or is that because of all this rain!!

Sadly I didn’t hear what I wanted to hear. Lump was 3cm and grade 3. They removed 3 nodes, one had cancer cells. So have to see the onc to discuss possible chemo, definite rads and hormone treatment. Arimadex. Back on the merry go round!!
Oh yes, I’ve got some anti biotics as surgeon thought my scar looked a bit red. It has been slightly itchy, but it doesn’t hurt. Still trying to get a full stretch on my arm. I’ve also got to have bone density tests before starting hormones. Never understand why they are called hormone tablets, surely should be called anti-hormone tablets.
Also saw the prosthetics nurse and now have a new boob in a box. Feels quite comfortable, but won’t wear it much until I’ve finished anti biotics.
