Thwarted!!

I have been taking Arimadex for 16 months after my dx in Aug 09 with invassive ductal/lobular breast cancer found on mammogram. As time has gone on I have become increasingly hampered by aches and pains. The latest being pain in the ball of foot/joint of my big toe, along with hip and knee pain. I was given a complete bone scan frollowed by an MRI which picked up a haemangeometa but thats another story! I also have a lump on the top of my thigh/hip which was ultrasounded and diagnosed as a fatty lump of some sort. This has got bigger and is now also causing pain when walking. I am going back to my GP about this.

I suppose what I want to say is it is ironic how we are encouraged to exercise to avoid cancer but with all these side effects (I think thats what they are as didn’t have any of this pre diagnosis)exercise is the last thing I can do for any lenght of time to be of benefit. Sorry to moan as in the scheme of things and what some of the ladies on here have to endure its not that important I just feel bit frustrated by it.

Chris

Hi Chris,

I also get terrible aches, pains and clicking in that joint. My feet are so painful. It is almost as if I have to uncrack them to move in the morning.

I also have a similar sounding fatty lump. However i do have bone mets but this is totally unrelated.

I am also on an aromatase inhibitor (femara).

its a pile of c…p isn’t it ?

best wishes
