Tissue expander in for 18 months and counting.....

Hi, I had a mastectomy last April and wanted a diep but my bmi was a bit too high so I have a tissue expander before my op which should have been a couple of months ago (if the waiting list was 6 moths) but now with COVID it will most probably be sometime next year!

Anyway the problem I have is that I’ve had the expander in quite a while now and don’t think they should be in this long and mine seems to be getting smaller, has anyone else had a problem where the saline seemed to be reducing as I’m keeping tabs on it but it definitely seems to be getting smaller?
