Cancer does not run in my family, just diabetes. Was diagnosed with TNBC (don’t know any more details yet as I am waiting to see an oncologist). Also waiting for genetic test to come back but was wondering if one can be negative for gene but still have TNBC?

Yes - TNBC just means the cancer doesn’t have receptors for oestrogen, progesterone or HER2. There are a variety of other things a TNBC might have, the BRCA mutation being just one of them. Mine, for example, is PD-L1 positive.

Lola12 yes you can be tnbc and not have brca gene. I was tnbc but no brca gene when tested
