hello to my fellow forum members. I am a long time lurker, first time joiner, first time poster, so hello to you all.
What a terrific forum site this is and 100% supportive and not too many fights given the amount of women here (lol) it’s a good thing!
I’m introducing myself in the “worried” thread because I have a few concerns about a possible “breast problem” and luckily managed to get a reasonably quick mammogram appt for Monday 16th, not far away. In fact my very first mammogram ever and it is a free service in New Zealand for all women which is terrific!
I am 48, nearly 49 (YIKES) isn’t aging a bummer! ha! I am totally realistic about the whole affair though no doubt if I do get an unfavourable result it will rock my world. My right breast though it doesn’t ache it continuously feels like it is there, slightly heavier, a lump upon a lump that just “is” kinda weird, no pain just slight discomfort and I don’t have a swollen armpit but it aches and annoys me, no lump, just tender. Very painful back not sure if it is related and I am soooooooooooooo tired.
Family history: Younger sister been battling BC and secondaries for 8 years now. My Mum’s family have too much cancer, all different kinds, usually strikes each family member in a different place. Our Mum was killed when we were young teens so we don’t know whether she had BC or not, she was only 37 when killed in a car crash.
Has anyone else here the same kind of symptoms?
