I am so nervous about my 9am appointment tomorrow at the BCC:-(
I have kept so busy this last week and I have done pretty well blocking tomorrow’s appointment out of my mind until today-it hit me exactly where I’m going tomorrow and I’m not feeling positive at all.
I will post and mention how it went-BOO!

I was diagnosed two weeks ago and had surgery last Weds.

I have some good news-all was fine at my appointment, I have Mastitis.
I am really pleased and I will still pop in here for a cuppa and a natter to see how everyone is…haha your stuck with me now!!
Just to give you a little giggle-during my appointment and waiting to go through for my scan I didnt have my gown tied properly and who/what do you think tried to escape in front of everyone in the waiting room lol!!! I bet you guessed it!

Chemo was yesterday and wasnt anywhere near
as bad as I was expecting… its always the unknown isnt it thats worse, Im on fec-t so first 3 courses are fec 3 x drugs took about an hour and half to complete, few strange feelings, funny smells etc, so far ive only had a bit of queasyness and very red face/neck so its just a case of wait and see, didnt go for cold cap in end decided had enough to contend with and anyway id rather no im going to lose my hair than spend the next 3 months stressing am I / arent I so its wig and scarves for the considerable future 
but im fine i made the right decision for me, Hope you are ok Squib, bet your fed up with the waiting eh ?

You sound like such a strong person and thats fantastic:-) Just keep that strength up.
Some of the wigs you can buy look amazing Janice:-) My mum used to make wigs when I was a little girl (thats a long time ago!!) and I remember them always looking so real.

So glad it went OK and wasn’t as bad as you thought - the power of the mind!!!
I was thinking about what I would do if I lost my hair and being a crafter and knowing crafty friends, I would commission my friend to crochet me a beautiful “beany” type hat - but much prettier. Maybe all flowers or something. Might be a bit hot in the summer - but I suppose she could use cotton thread.
And another friend of mine, who did lose her hair was going to design a hat with a “fringe” of hair at the front and maybe a pony tail or hair at the back - to make it look real - FAB idea!!

Thanks for your messages, i am quite a strong person but I like everyone have my moments… few and far between now as I am focusing on treatment and that takes enough energy !! Feeling queasy again this am but its fine nothing drastic, had about 5 hours interuppted sleep last night… due to steriods so going to take them EVEN earlier today and looking like a glow stick ( Red ) but hey ho as im 49 just blame the menopause for that one lol taking the dog out in a bit for some fresh air be good to get out x
