Too thin for reconstruction

My breast cancer has recurred after 11 years. I previously had a lumpectomy, chemo and radio. I have had chemo again now waiting for my op as it’s the same breast and already had radio have to have a mastectomy. I have been advised due to my build (Skinny) a implant is the only reconstruction option but that due to the tissue etc its likely to look different, take 8 hours of surgery and impair the muscle. All in all I felt like I was being advised not to do it as the risk of rejection/ infection  was high. Has anybody out there had a similar experience? I am feeling so confused and the thought of only a prosthesis and how I will manage my self esteem and confidence which has never been good anyway all feels too much at present.
