Travel abroad post-chemo

Afternoon all, I’m currently going through 6 months of chemo pre-surgery (stage 3, ER+ diagnosis). I’d love to get away for a long weekend in Spain once my course of chemo is complete, just before I have my surgery.

Question: is it possible to get travel insurance given my circumstances? My med team have said it’s fine for me to go abroad if I’m feeling well enough but insurance is needed.

You may find a company that is willing to insure you post chemo/pre surgery  but I would imagine a very high cost … that said it doesn’t hurt to look around… I found that once I was 12 months post treatment the prices dropped …although still considerably higher than my 85 year old Mum! ( I’m 57 ) … hope you manage to get away
