Travel insurance during treatment

Hi, does anyone have any tips for travel insurance providers during treatment please?

The usual places which cover pre-existing conditions (e.g. Allclear and Payingtoomuch.com) don’t cover my scenario which is I’m sneaking in a cruise between a mastectomy on Feb 7th and radiotherapy after April 15th.

I found InsureCancer who will cover me but can’t do anything until my post-surgery checkup on 22nd Feb, and then it’s likely to be up to £1000 for cover.  It’s individually underwritten, and if I have to use them then I will, but I’d rather have a cheaper option!!

So it’s a real specialist I need, if possible…   Thanks!

A friend with MS recommends M & S as she likes to travel a lot, but can’t get ‘ordinary’ nsurance because of her condition

Don’t know if you got sorted yet but Boots is great for travel insurance. Your problem is that you’re mid treatment. The other issue is repatriation from a cruise ship in the middle of the sea if you were ill. Quite costly I would think! I went on holiday quickly after diagnosis but before treatment started, so I was very lucky. I do hope you have found something. It will be a great lift for you. X
