Thanks for this Squeaky. Do you know if they cover secondaries? A lot of travel companies just won’t touch you if you have and especially if you’re still in active treatment.

Not sure if they cover secondaries you will have to call the medical screening dept -the telephone number is on their website. Also have you tried Freedom maybe more expensive but is specialist travel insurance for people with medical problems.Good luck.

Hi Squeaky
I tried Freedom first but they became really expensive once I had to start chemo again. Also tried Free Spirit who were really good but have found miaonline the best so far but will give Aberdeen a ring next year.

I’ve used them for five years now.
I’ve just had a long discussion with them about a new question: how many times have you seen your BC consultants this year, which potentially excludes cover for BC.
They spent ages speaking wih me and were really understanding about the ins and outs of why one might see them more often but that it doesn’t necessarily mean more risk.
Got cover no problem. All included.
For all those who remember Fiona there, she has moved to a different department although still with Freedom.

Freedom Insurance has the outward appearance of being an insurance broker (one who can get you quotes from several companies) but the only insurance company they represent is AXA.
