Travel Insurance

HI Everyone
Another quote for insure pink, £79 for a 2 week cruise to the caribbean in April, that covers everything to do with BC

HI Ladies,

We’ve decided to postpone the USA trip 'till next year. Thanks for your info Sandra it gives me confidence that once I’m more than a year from diagnosis it will be easier. We will go to Spain instead this year. My cousin has a villa in Alicante and they’ll be there all summer so we can visit them any time.

Happy holidays to everyone.

Have just been looking on canceractive.com about about something entirely different & saw they had linked up with an insurance firm (Bromleytravel or something similar) to provide cover specifically for ladies with breast cancer. Followed the link and the quoted rates seem to be extremely favourable with Breast Cancer covered. Don’t take my word for it but just thought it might help those looking around!

You’re right Haxted, the rates are great and cover cancellation. If you google Bromely insurance, all the info is there. A signed form is required by BCN or consultant to say fit to travel, but premiums appear to be lower than Insure Pink. Thanks for this Haxted!

Hi all Wow Sandra thats amazing. I tried insure pink just after finishing treatment and they would not cover me!!. So I have been using Get mY which has been really good. However I am going to Sydney with stopover in Singapore then a beach break in Fiji. Insurance for this for both me and hubby with BC included £159 On way back I have a seven hour stopover in L.A. looked at option of staying in LA for a couple of nights or just wizzing into town in the 7 hours two companies and Get My quoted £375–£500 to include USA saying it was due to high cost of treatment in America.Needless to say we are giving LA a miss apart from 7 hours in the airport.
take care kittyx

just for information-they will not cover any one with secondary bc.

Hi Nicky,

Do you mean you cannot get any travel insurance with secondries.
Lesleyxx

Hi – some of us with secondaries (I have bone & liver mets) have been able to get travel insurance that didn’t cost a huge amount and covers us for everything to do with our BC from MiaOnline (google them) for European and some long-haul destinations (and cruises, I think). Also, I had a fairly reasonable quote from another firm a couple of years ago for a few weeks in the States, but can I find it now?? Nope!! Will post info if it comes to hand, or you can search for “travel insurance” on these forums, as I’m sure I’ve mentioned it before.

also try Bromley insurance (google it). Seem very reasonable and also cover cancellation. There is also another thread on here re travel insurance which is worth taking a look.
