Breast Cancer Care
Marge - I totally agree with you. I have annual worldwide travel insurance but none of the companies I applied to would cover my breast cancer which at that time had been in remission for 16 years.
I would understand if they put a limit of 5 years remission but having just had a recurrence I would prefer cover whatever. The average person only goes on holiday for 4 weeks a year and the risk to the insurance companies must be minimal. Please keep me informed of any progress. I also hate the way policies are loaded if you are over 65 and fit and healthy.
Ho Olivia I am just turned 63, and up till diagnosis last year, have never had any health problems. My quote for 10 days in Cyprus is £600+ for 10 days, to include any cancer aspect.
You should contact The macmillan service on the above e mail, cos they specifically want to hear from people who are long term cancer survivors and still have insurance problems
