Hi I’m new to the forum. I was diagnosed last September & had lumpectomy then a month later a lymph clearance. My radiotherapy was finished Christmas week & since then I’ve made a good recovery. I have breast
Oedema but seeing the nurse weekly for manual drainage. I feel so very lucky to be on the mend & looking forward to my family holiday to turkey in may but I’m struggling getting travel insurance. Can anyone recommend any companies? Any other travel tips?
Thanks.x

Hi
There is a very long topic on this! I will ‘bump’ it up for you. Generally speaking getting travel insurance is easier with primary BC than secondary BC, so don’t get worried about the ladies on the thread who have found it difficult to get insurance with secondaries. And also insurance to USA is much more expensive than Europe and other countries due to their expensive health costs. Also remember your EHIC card for travel in Europe which entitles you to reciprocal treatment in state hospitals.

Thank you. Any info is a great help.
Hi Hilhol,
I have just got worldwide insurance covering my BC from my bank - I’ve had WLE, chemo & rads now on tamoxifen. Mine cost £84 for the year which, as we plan to travel 2 or 3 times overseas in the year, I didn’t think was too bad. I didn’t phone around though, so I may have got it cheaper.
Now just got to twist OH’s arm to go to the Caribbean!
