Treatment Over!!!
Treatment Over!!! Finally after 9 long months of hell I am finished with treatment of any kind. I am on Tamoxifen and have been since the middle of March. I feel lost not having to attend the hospital as much.
I am getting married in 4 weeks time and am trying to prepare myself for returning to work on 16th July. Its funny how last year I was thinking that when will this all end and now I am here.
I feel the same as some of you other ladies once treatment has finished. What if it comes back, if I get a pain is it cancer elsewhere.
I see my Oncologist on 8th June and he is a hunny so at least he brightens up my day. Will I get mammogramms soon?
I have a magnum of champagne waiting till the day after I get married and my fiance (sorry it will be husband) and I will pop it open and get very drunk.
Best wishes to all the finishees and good luck to all the people still going through this horrible process.

Congratulations Congratulations on so many counts! My oncologist ordered a mammogram six months after my radio finished (I had surgery, chemo, radio and now Tamox.).
If you are concerned about anything before then, call your breast care nurse and she can arrange an appointment.
Best wishes for a wonderful wedding.

Congrats! Well done Sherryll
It feels such a big day when you finish all your treatment! Congratulations! Do take it easy and enjoy not having to trapse up to the hospital now.
You have so much to look forward to and I hope you have a wonderful wedding day - I hope the sun will shine for you both - you deserve it!
I remember having my last radiotherapy appointment and felt incredibly emotional. My husband met me as I walked back into town and I just burst into tears - crazy really, but I was just so pleased that it was all behind me.
I too am on the Tamoxifen and Zoladex and apart from the odd hot flush, which are getting better now, its the first time for about 6 months that I feel quite normal!
Best of luck Sherryll

Congratulations Have a wonderful wedding and a wonderful life together.
I am also a recent finishee - it is nearly 7 months ago I was diagnosed - in a lot of ways it has gone really quickly. I am going back to work next week - back to normal then.
All the best and well done to all of us on here,
