I am recently diagnosed with her2 in left axillary lyhmp node and a 3cm tumor was removed by my plastic surgeon during a breast implant exchang. This us how my nightmare began. What are chances of me being able to do something other than chemo?
Hi and welcome to the forum, we are always sorry to have to welcome newbies on board of course but hope we can offer you help and support ? Chemo is the treatment offered for Lymph node involvement and also if you are Her 2 positive as you will then be given Herceptin which is a great defence against reacurrance, of course the choice of treatment is entirely yours and ladies have declined but it is something you really need to discuss with your Oncologist, there are very active chemo threads here where you will be able to get tons of info Xx
hi godsgirl,
As jobey says, your oncologist will discuss all of this with you & the shock of diagnosis feels like a nightmare, but it does get better when a treatment plan is in place.
Treatments are very good now & are the best we’ve got to deal with it.
take care
