I am due to start radiotherapy treatment in a couple of weeks and have been invited to take part in a clinical Trial called IMPORT LOW - has anyone or is anyone involved in this trialif so i would be interested to hear your opnions

I’m going to try and get some information about my imminent radiotherapy from my oncologist tomorrow, if he gives me more than 5 seconds of his time this week!!!

hiya im on the import low at christies and i ws randomised into middle group whivh is less rads to breast and higher dose to tumour site there is no less rads in any or the groups just proportioned out. i had very little skin irritation, no cracking or weeping, used aqueous cream twice a day during and for 4 weeks after treatment.

I had a look at the ‘Cancerhelp’ site that Flora directed me to found it very useful and have decided to agree to the trial. at the end of the day it will hopefully help others in the future

i was offered this trial by my onc after we discussed my treatment if you want to know more about it follow the link that Flora put in her message 01/03 > cancerhelp UK, it tells you all about it. it’s with regard to how they adminster the rads and you would probably have to ask your onc for more details if your interested.
