I have recently been diagnosed with TNBC. MRI and CT scan today to find the extent. I am still in shock and completely devastated as I have a one year old that needs his mummy to stick around!
Wondering if there is unfortunately anyone else in a similar position and going through this at the same time?
Hi I know it’s a terrible shock wait until you have had your scans and get your results then they will give you a treatment plan , you will be around for your little one it’s all doe able , I’m sure there’s some people on forum which have been through the Same thing as you keep us posted stay positive x
If you go to the Welcome To The Forum page click on Diagnosed With Breast Cancer and you will see a section entitled Triple Negative and Inflammatory Breast Cancer - but sometimes it doesn’t do to dive too deeply into it all at first without talking to a professional who can try to give you some perspective so you could try calling the helpline and speaking to one of the nurse on 0808 800 6000.
So sorry that you’re in this situation I don’t have kids myself but I’ve seen many posts from women worrying that they might not be around to see their little ones grow up - so you’re not alone though it’s very hard not to feel that way .
Sending love and best wishes for your treatment and beyond. Xx
I’m so sorry to hear of your diagnosis - it’s completely expected that you would be shocked, devastated and worrying about your little one. I sincerely hope that you find the forum a welcoming and helpful place - we’ll be here for you every step of the way and will always do our best to answer your questions and offer support.
If you ever need to speak to someone, our nurses are only a phone call away on our free helpline 0808 800 6000.
Once you’ve had some time to let your news sink in, you might find it useful to sign up to our Someone Like Me service which aims to pair users up with a volunteer who has had a similar experience.
You may also find it useful to use the search tool to find others who have had a similar diagnosis or experiences of parenting through treatment.
Please take care of yourself and take all the time to you need to get your head around this.
