I was moved to a different ward with no internet signal so Ive been having major iphone withdrawals all afternoon. Thankfully hubby has brought me in the laptop (phew!).
Ive got to stay in again tonight- still none the wiser really as to whats going on. They were thinking blood clot on lung but nothing definitive to prove that from ct scan, but they gave me heparin a few hours before the ct so doc said its possible that a clot was the culprit and it had duspersed by the time of the scan. I will get more heparin as a precaution tomorrow. ECG showed some irregularities and white cells are low, and there is a shadowed infection-like area on my lung so I am also getting anti biotics. They are hopeful I will be home tomorrow providing other tests come back ok. Theyve spoken to my onc who will no doubt be in touch once I am home. She better let me go on holiday- I swear it will finish us off if we have to cancel 
Anyway, fingers crossed. Have not had a chest pain āattackā today but heart beat still irregular and lots of palps (Im not anxious in the slightest btw- totally desensitised after all Ive been through!).

Tina so sorry to hear you are in hospital but glad your feeling a bit better tonightā¦ Hope you can get home tomorrow and are allowed to go to Tenerife. Take it easy and hope they get to the bottom of it all.
Sadie I agree with the others you should be allowed to pay your tax back in installmentsā¦ The citizens advice bureau might be able to help with regards to this. Hope your doing ok today and good luck with your resultsā¦ Wow the ice hotel sounds fab.
Wendy hope all goes well on Wednesday and the cannula insertion isnāt too traumatic for you.

Thanks for all your kind wishes + support. I was allowed home late afternoon yesterday. Feel like crap but Iām hoping lots of sleep will help (wards so noisy through the night so barely slept for 2nights). Pretty much none the wiser really whatās been going on?!? They canāt rule out that it was a clot and so treated me for that. They also siad nasty infection in lung + blood counts low so on anti bās for that. Was also mentioned that my picc could have been causing the funny heart beat + that they can cause inflammtion where they sit by heart. So I insisted if was removed before I left. The stupid thing wouldnāt bleed anyway so Iāve been stabbed with needles non stop (5 plus a cannula!).
Will chat to onc about it all no doubt- the hospital docs recommended further heart tests etc.
The ct scan of my chest on Monday will need to be looked at by my onc too- really hope that will replace the one Iām due next month coz the amunt of scans Iām having is rediculous- one early sept, one late oct, one early jan, one end of jan!!! All they kept saying regarding my chest was that in cancer terms it was āstableā but Iām not sure which scan they were comparing it to because my previous 2 were done at a different hosp + so wouldnāt be on their system?
Feeling quite chesty again, nodes are bulging, liver is paining + the disease in chest wall feels like itās affecting my left shoulderblade now. I just feel tired + weary Cant say I think the chemois doing anything but going to try + block it all out + enjoy the holiday. I will face the doom+ gloom when I get backā¦

Tina. So glad to hear your back home and theyāve sorted you out, you rest up plenty before your holiday on weekend.I know hospital wards are soo noisy you will sleep much better now your back at home. Hope Tenerife is lovely and hot with loads of sunshine. Hugs xxx

Sadie, just to say we have a mobility car for the little guy we permanantly foster as he has high dla. You do, as Tina said, lose Ā£50, but you donāt have to pay insurance or tax, and they pay all upkeep, new tyres, and if you break down they come and sort you out as a priority, it has worked well for us, hope this helps.
Tina, I so hope you are able to have a good holiday. My lovely friend Heather has now been a year on taxol/avastin, latest scan this week still NED so she is carrying on, but they have dropped the dose to 80 percent. She is still managing to work two days a week.

Sadie, we have just got a motability car, actually getting it was so easy, we went into a showroom, spoke to the motability advisor and she ordered it on the computer, I didnāt need to show her any paperwork, she just needed my NI number. She did all the paperwork and the money is automatically transferred, as Kim said EVERYTHING is paid for apart from fuel, after having spent over Ā£800 in car repairs last year, it is nice to know we wonāt have any unexpected Bills. I did ask what happened if I died before 3 years, she said it can be bought off them, but needs to be returned otherwise, but apparently they donāt harass people to return them immediately and usually leave it a few months!
Tina I am sorry to hear about you hospital stay and the increased worries it all entails, you seem to have the right attitudeā¦have a fantastic holiday then worry about things when you return! Hopefully returning relaxed and happy will reduce any pain. Try and have a wonderful holiday you definitely deserve one after what youāve been through,

Hi to everone else! My daughter finished her GCSEs and Mock exams yeaterday! Phew!! No more physics revision! It was difficult. Just wait for āourā results now - my scan results and her GCSE mock results all next monday! I want them BOTH to be stunningly GOOD!!! It is super cold here, but this time in two weeks we will be in sweeden waking up in the ice hotel - my radical plan to help the hot flushes!! It is āonlyā -5 in the hotel and -25 outside! I will let you know if it works! So, if I do need more treatment I hope to be able to delay is a few weeks and go on holiday āchemo freeā. I still get soooooo tired it frustrates me. I look fine and save energy up for stuff but its not as good as I thought it would be! Never mind - the sun is shining and all is OK!! (ā¦I hope!!)

Just a quick update ladies
Iāve started vinorelbine. Itās very odd! Just 3 little pills to take once a week. It does mean bloods have to be done every week too, bit of a bummer for a veinaphobic like me, but not to worry.
Anyhow, I took the pills yesterday, so far absolutely nothing to report. I feel fine!
The chest Dr has arranged to have my lungs drained as a day case, so need to stay in overnight and just local anaesthetic. Iām hoping it might improve my breathing a little.
Does anyone have any experience with lymphoedema? My arm has swollen massively, so much so that my current sleeves seem too tight. The skin is so tender I canāt bear to be touched. The District Nurse is referring me back to the clinic but Iām not sure what to do in the meantime.
Hope youāre feeling better Tina and ready for the off.
Love the idea of a shiny new car Sadie. Like you say, smiling faces are what itās all about.

Wendy sorry cant help with the LO I only have very mild LO and in my hand and not enough to wear compression bandagingā¦ Just wondering if you need a course of antibiotics as maybe you have an infection if itās suddenly ballooned and itās tenderā¦ Might be worth a visit to your gp as maybe you have cellulitisā¦ Glad the vinorelibine has been ok so farā¦ Hope it remains that way and the bloods arent too traumatic.
When are you getting your lungs drained hope its quite soon so you get the benefit of it quickly.
Just wondered if anybody had heard from Rachel as she hasnāt posted for a couple of weeks and just wondering how sheās keeping.

Hello everyone. Glad to hear you are out of hospital, Tina. Have a good holiday in the sun. I agree - you deserve something positive going on. Iām in a similar situation re the collar bone and am guessing I have spread to my right side.
Iām glad to say that I am a bit more cheery than my last post. I have discovered that I have an ear infection and it may be that which made me feel so rubbish for so long.
Iāve stopped taking my daytime morphine as my blood pressure was really dropping. Anyone else have this problem? Iām back to codeine and prunes!
Thanks to everyone for sharing all the useful comments about treatments and so on. It is all a mystery to me as my onc hasnāt recommended any treatments for a while. Next post-scan appointment 15th Feb so we shall see.
Off to Penny Brohn next week. Looking forward to that. Need to sort my life out re work etc. Sometimes having an understanding employer can be a disadvantage, making you hang on when you should really face it and stop!

I have had LO for 2 1/2 years and it is quite bad. However, it has never been tender and sore, only heavy and consequently uncomfortable, and I am inclined to agree with Lulu that it sounds like an allergy or infection of some kind. I would definitely go and see someone about it. Love to you and all on here,

Hope everyone is ok. My apologies for the āmeā posts but itās been a mad week! had a hectic few days since getting out of hospital gettin sorted 4the holiday. We fly early tmoro morn. To add to the drama, hubby has been in London since 1st thing yesterday + was due home after lunch today but there has been some sort of train accident in Milton Keynes so trains have been cancelled! He was just about to book a flight home from gatwick but they have started running some trains finally, so he should be home 9ish. Thank goodness we are pretty much packed! All we want now is for the snow to stay away so we can set off tmoro without any more probs!!
Still not feeling great if Iām totally honest. Nearly finished my anti bās bt chest has got a bit worse not better. Hoping lots of fresh air sorts me out + I feel better over the next few days.
Will be logging in occasionally whilst away to see how u all are + will be back online propely when home on 13th.

Sarah, thanks for the support and advice. Iāve managed (with my hubbyās help) to get my sleeve on. Itās feeling a bit better but Iāve taken on board the advice from yourself and Lulu re ABs. When I come to think about it, I was on ABs for it for 3 weeks solid and itās only since they stopped that itās swollen up like this.
Iām struggling this weekend with pain. Couldnāt get out of bed this morning so I need to speak to someone on Monday to get my meds sorted. Itās just awful.
