Hi all,
I’ve just started my second cycle of Trodelvy, I was hospitalised after the first one due to sickness and diarrhoea. My dose has been reduced by 20% but I’ve found this time the fatigue is awful. I struggle to walk 10 paces without being out of breath. Has anybody else had this issue?
I’m debating on calling my oncologist to not have the next round on Thurs.
If you can’t walk 10 paces without gasping for air, that’s not just “fatigue,” it’s a massive red flag that your body is screaming for a break. Forget “debating” it—call your oncologist immediately because pushing through a second cycle while you’re this wrecked is just asking for another hospital trip.
Hi @shellfish
Thanks for posting. It sounds like you are having a difficult time on your Trodelvy and it is understandable that you have questions.
As @lydi09 says it is important to contact your treatment team as soon as possible to let them know about the breathlessness and fatigue you are experiencing. You should have been given a 24 hour telephone number to call if you are feeling unwell or have concerns about side effects and you should call this number today so that you can be assessed. If the breathlessness gets worse then it is important to go to A and E as soon as possible for assessment.
Your oncologist may decide to reduce your dose further or delay your treatment until you are feeling better.
Do call our helpline if you would like to talk this through or have any further questions.
