Tucatinib, capecitabine and trastuzumab - helpful advice?

Hi, hope all of the community are well.

My mum is due to start a new treatment: Tucatinib, capecitabine and trastuzumab. Is anyone currently on these treatments and do you have any helpful advice?

Thanks in advance

Hi! I am on this medication. I take capecitabine 2X per day (total 2600mg) for 14 days then off for 7. I take Tucatinib (150mg) 2X per day, every day. Then I go to hospital every 3 weeks and get Trastusamab.
I’ve been on this routine since August 2023. I do have hfs that is really painful sometimes, most notably when I’m on my feet a lot. So I try to recover the next day and have found Tylenol to help with pain. My hands crack but heal quickly although my fingernails split all the time so I keep them short. I also have thinning hair and other side effects but all in all everything is manageable. However just recently I had to have 5 days of specific radiation to my left breast and to a tiny tumour in my brain. So the meds are starting not to work so we are on a wait until they completely stop working before next option which I’m told is experimental meds. But I see on here meds others are/have taken so I’ll ask my doc about them.
How is your mom doing on her medication? Did she get hfs? What dose does she take? All the best to you and your mom.
