Hi all
I was diagnosed with a benign fibroadenoma last month. Most days I am experiencing some mildly painful twinges in that breast. I thought that fibroadenomas were painless? The lump itself is, but the twinges most definitely aren’t!
Has anyone else experienced this? Any advice welcome.
Also, I have PCOS and wondered it there were any kind of link?
Thanks all

Hi Caz
Its the first time I have been on here for a week or so, and like you my test results came back as benign fibroadenomas - I have to back on the 5th June to see what happens next … like you I also thought these were meant to be painless but my certainly isnt! If I touch it - it hurts quite badly, and if I put any pressure on it it really hurts … so, Im thinking maybe its touching something else like a nerve, I dont really know but Im very aware of it most of the time. I have to say I havent had any “twinges” at all, well not since a week after the initial biopsy … if you are concerned perhaps you need to go back to the GP - are they leaving yours in or taking it out ?

Thanks Katy, I think I will go back to the GP at some point as the twinges seem much more frequent now and are a nuisance!
Sue - was so glad you had the all clear. Sorry it is causing you pain though; hope they can help at your appointment. They are leaving mine for now, to see if it is growing. In a way, I’d quite like it just to be gone.
