Hi ladies, I started treatment last week (wle, slnb so far) and wondered if anybody could recommend the comfortable bra? My wounds are healing well
but I am still in some discomfort and I expect that to continue through the treatments ahead of me. I am a large lady (18) with 38E/40DD bra sizeā¦Iām using swab padding at the moment but hoping there is a bra that will be better? Id really appreciate any suggestions. X
I had mastectomy ended up with a lot of fluid got a couple of bra,s from asda on line £8each. Find them comfy as any
Thanks 1852, Iāll check Asda out and I hope you are doing ok after your operation xx
Hi 1852, thatās great news re nodes. Do you start chemo soon? are you preparing yourself in anyway? Having to bear with the fluid build up must be hard too. ā¦uncomfortable I should imagineā¦you sound very braveā¦amazing
I hope you are doing ok. Xx
Hi 1852, I did a ātrolley dashā through m&s underwear yesterday (traveling 200 miles to my patents at the time :)) and am now wearing an all cotton affair which is more comfortable, but it is the slnb site that is still quite sore and it is just in the ārightā spot to be rubbed by any bra frankly.
Iām sorry I donāt have any helpful information to offer with regards chemoā¦loads of posts in another part of this forum I think, which might be useful. Not yet sure if itās to be part of my treatment planā¦my best friend has suggested that I should see a hypnotherapist (as I have a major needle phobia) if chemo does become a reality to help me through it. Like a lot of stuff, the thought is very probably worse than the reality. āMelt downsā are becoming quite commonplace in my house. I explode like a shaken bottle of pop! lol
Thatās extra tough for you and your OH both currently having hospital treatment. Fingers crossed for an ok day on Friday for you both. Take real good care of yourself xx
Thanks everyone for your bra suggestionsā¦Iāve got one from M&S but will be checking the other ideas out for some others.
