About 4 weeks ago I headed to the gp due to spontaneous bloody discharge coming from my right nipple. Cytology and mammogram were clear however due to my dense 16h breasts, I am due to have an ultrasound tomorrow to investigate further. Since the discharge I have had steadily increased pain up my neck, collarbone and shoulder/upper arm area and have been painkillers everyday for the past few weeka. A few days ago I noticed a slight indentation of the breast in question.
I am prettg anxious although have been keeping busy but the pain has been a little hard to handle. Has anyone had similar symptoms and did you get answes/relief?
I’ve had bloody discharge coming from my nipple for probably 7 weeks now. Had a mammogram last week which was clear, however the consultant has said it’s likely to be a papilloma in my duct as these don’t show well on mammograms. I’m going in for a little operation on Thursday to have a microdochectomy and remove the affected duct/ducts which will then be sent for a biopsy. It could be something like that you have although I don’t know about the pain x
Thank u for sharing. My gp initially said she thought mine was a papilloma too. Ultrasound was clear which was good but radiologist said there could be something deeper that was causing it. The indent xould be caused by coopers ligament but again no definitive answer.
No urgent referral but I am waiting to hear back about appointment date with specialist I was referred to by my gp. I should feel happy nothing showed up but it doesn’t explain what is going on.
