Unexplained Weight gain

Has any had unexplained weight gain as a symptom?

I have other symptoms and am awaiting an appt at the breast clinic but after weighing again this morning and having gained another 2lb in 2 weeks despite controlling my diet and reducing calorie intake i am starting to wonder could this be another symptom

Appreciate any responses

Hi
I too have gained weight in the last 10 months its the hormonal treatment, im on abmeciclib, denosumab and was having fulvestrant injections, gained almost stone and a half from a size 10 to a 14. I believe its the combination of all of them putting our body through the menopause status. Even men go through this too. I too am watching calore intake but it makes no real difference it appears.
Also been told its good to gain some weight, it means the drugs are working, who would have thought that… So for now i’ll take that as a positive symptom.

Wishing you well in your treatment

One of the cruellest affects of cancer treatment is weight gain. Instead of looking thin and pale and mysterious, I became a chunky monkey who couldn’t get in to her clothes. Took me two years to lose the chemo weight and yes, I was controlling food intake. Horrid
