Up all nighters..........

Thank you Clare. managed just over an hour. might see if I can keel over on the sofa later.

Hello ChoccieMuffin

I am developing at an alarming rate the none sleep pattern since my surgery despite feeling tired all the time. Not sure if that is to be expected or just the result of an active imagination. Still waiting for my results 2 weeks post surgery and find that rather stressfull at the best of times. Hope you and the rest of the sleepless band are doing okay.

Love Alanaa xx

Pants…spent the last two nights on the sofa avoiding man flu hubby but insisted I have the bed tonight…and guess what…no sleep for me! Probably due to me sleeping lots during the day. Just getting tired now. Watching wheelchair rugby (actually played with a football…lol). Any one else sneaking on here at silly o’clock?

Twinky x

Me again…why can’t I sleep? Didn’t even sleep much today so it’s not as if I stocked up during the day…sigh

Twinky

Oh, poor you Twinky. It’s flipping frustrating isn’t it when all around seem to be sleeping soundly? I took a sleeping tablet about two hours ago and still can’t sleep! My fingers and toes are aching, think I’ll fill a hot water bottle and try going back to bed soon.

Hope you aren’t still up at 4 o’clock again. Make a hot milky drink and try a little light reading.

If I see the sleep fairy I’ll send her your way.

Grrrrrrrr… I’ve just woken up!
Cup of T and a dognut called for…yummy. I suppose they are not compulsory but a bit of sugar rush may help…well sorta :o)
Sorry to see you up once again Libby and Twinky, It is so frustrating when everyone is snoring around you. I do feel so much better though, less washed out and the fluey symptoms have gone. So perhaps if I get a few more hours in I will be ok tomorrow.
I have possibly 2 people in tomorrow, hope they don’t clash. One lady is from the village, she was diagnosed at the same time with a primary and is on herceptin, so we have a regualr text exchange to support each other. She pops in with food goodies…a lady after my own heart. She’s a great cook!!!
The other friend goes back a long way to when I was first diagnosed in 2021. she’s always been there for me, we live up the road and communicate very littlee now but we know, in a crisis that either one of us will be in the front of the Q if T and sympathy is required or pratical things too.

Waffle waffle waffle :o)

I hope you girls are in bed…or I’m coming after you :o)

Oops I’m still up but just watched the first episode of a new series that started last Sunday (think it was called Birdsong, concluding part is this Sunday). I had cheese & onion crisps and some chocolate milk. Can still hear hubby coughing (why do men have to wake the neighbourhood when they have a cough). Want to settle down to sleep now but need the toilet and that’ll wake me up fully …oh dear!

Here’s hoping that you two are now asleep and it’s just me keeping watch!

Hello Clare, twinky and Libby.
I’m joining you tonight. I had an op today 2nd one and
ANC but went to sleep at 1 and woke up at 230. Asked for a
Painkiller and I’ve got tramadol as codiene didn’t agree with me.
So now I’ve got the tv on in my hosp room. Nhs sent me to a private
Hosp so its more like a hotel!
Hope you all manage to get some sleep tonight.

Love Fran!

Morning all. Not happy to be joining you again . Didn’t get to sleep until way past 1 so very disappointed to be wide awake at 4. Think I’ll have a quick forum read and try to drop off again . Bah humbug.

Hope you all have a better night tonight… I cant get on t’internet from my bed usually so I just play cards on my iPad till I fall asleep… Butwould much rather be reading all your words of wisdom or woe.

Sleep well ladies xxx

Sleep…whats that?
I was so tired when I went, got really comfortable and snuggled down, not sure why its such a problem, I’m even taking sleeping tablets. I just wonder if its the dex (steroid) thats keeping me awake but I take that early in the morning so I doubt it.
I watched Birdsong, Twinky, really atmospheric programme, looking forward to the next one ( the book is really good too)
Well I hope everyone else os tucked up in bed and sleeping for England, I will have another go, perhaps putting more covers on, its chilly here with all the sleet.
night night

Here I am again. Started off in bed but hubby was coughing and I’m a bit anxious about going to pick up my post op results from my BCN. Will find out what they found when they examined the MX tissue and that will determine the next step in my treatment. Just had a glass of chocolate milk & on the sofa watching tv but tucked up in case sleep finds me ( not unusual for me to wake up with the tv on & glasses still on my face).

Did chemo once so can do it again…but don’t want to…ha…said it out loud!

Here’s hoping I drift off soon. On the positive side I should lose Dennis tomorrow so not all bad!

Hi Clare (moves over on the sofa to make room for her) - fancy meeting you here! Do you think the hot chocolate fairy will go make us a couple of mugs?

Twinky x

Hi Twinky,
Sits down, glad to have the company and brings hot chocolate topped with marshmallows :o)
I think another bench is needed in Benchland…4am sofa club… I do hope you have dropped off, I can guarantee it once I start to waffle…

clare xxxx

Twinky,
I wish you well with your results, I do hope you get a reprive from chemo. No wonder you are up, its the worse bit fretting and waiting.

Hugs for tomorrow, b thinking of you

Thanks Clare…thought I was the only one still awake. Can’t understand why I’m not even that tired! Trying some historical tv now…always sends me off despite it being interesting. Hope that you manage to nod off soon.

Twinky, It’s no wonder you haven’t been sleeping, it’s so worrisome waiting for important results. Please let us know the outcome, you know we are all here for you. Sending you my bestest wishes. x

CM and Lulu I hope you both managed to get some kip eventually, and hope you aren’t here at silly o’clock tonight. Sweet dreams for later.x

And Fran, don’t think we’ve seen you here before? And don’t want to see you here again lol, you will definitely need your sleep when you get home with two young children to care for, hope your pain has subsided, are you due home today? x

Clare my love, oh no you were here again, sorry you too didn’t sleep even after taking sleeping tablet, very frustrating. Are you having a visitor free day today? I’m hoping you are snuggled up under your duvet, cosy and warm, maybe reading a little, snoozing, some TV, another snooze, and feeling relaxed. And hope you sleep like a wee baby tonight x

I did sleep last night, took a sleeping pill and slept 2.00am to 10.30am. Having a weekend away in Bedfordshire, we are visiting our very close friends, I’m a bit nervous as it will be my first night away from home since starting treatment, a bit concerned too about the 3hr journey but it should be OK. Our friends are so caring, and sent an email this morning asking for a list of my needs and wants, I can’t wait to see them, very excited!

Wishing the sleep fairy visits you all tonight. Take care.

Slept like a dormouse last night, for the first time in ages. Woke up a couple of times (when the cat decided to sleep ON me, not just BESIDE me) but dropped straight back off. Youngest was sick yesterday evening so I turned off the alarm clock for this morning as I knew I wouldn’t be taking her to school, and what do you know, I woke up at the usual time! But it was lovely to just pull the duvet back up over my head and go back to sleep. And I intend doing the same thing tonight too.

Hi Libsue

Results were encouraging. No node involvement, no vein involvement so looks contained. Seeing new oncologist Monday to discuss what is next for me. Will be having a weekend of do I or don’t I have chemo as that will be an option. How does anyone make that decision! Will have a big hot chocolate, sleeping pills and ear plugs to block out hubby coughing! I badly need done proper sleep or I’ll catch that man flu too!

Hugs

Evening Ladies

One hour of tv in bed ( space drama, nothing too stimulating), large mug of hot choc drunk & sleeping tablets taken. Just kicked coughing hubby out onto the sofa and starting to feel drowsy so I reckon I’ll be asleep soon. I need this rest badly!

Night all
