I’m having trouble staying awake…wait a minute…that’s a good thing!

Night all x x

Oooooh I wish,

My turn please’,

Jill

Twinky I know the Folly Inn well. Many a meal taken there when we are on the Oxfordshire Canal. It is a good overnight stop and eating place pre the locks.
That D…,Sleep Fairy is missing tonight…I thought Radiotherapy made you tired. Perhaps another DVD will help. If that doesn’t work I am taking to the bottle!!!
Wide awake and fed up
Cackles

I slept I slept (runs around in excitement but forgets the drain and ends up dragging Dennis across the floor). No pills either. Just happened naturally. I did wake 3 hours later but went straight back to sleep & then 3 hours after that but again went back to sleep! Woo hoo…may you all catch the sleeping bug tonight too!

Twinky x x

P.S anyone seen any posts from Clare (potmaid)? Hope she’s ok. Maybe she slept too last night

No night owls tonight then? I’m half watching a program on BBC 4 about the British invasion of the US in the sixties (music I hasten to add…). Will give up in a bit and go to sleep! On the sofa again as now worked out how to lie on my good side and snuggle a bit without upsetting the drain. Hubby is being frogmarch to the doc by the one-boobed wife as it’s sounds very much like a bad chest infection…poor little lamb!

Hope no one else has to pop in here tonight

Twinky x

Morning you are not alone out there. I am just going to nip downstairs and brew a cocoa and slap something strong in it to help with this D…m insomnia. Four hours kip in three days is not enough. I’ll give them radiotherapy makes you tired!!!
The sofa sounds comfy twinkly but do frog march him to the GP, just incase you catch it and it delays chemo if you need it.
Sleep well
Cackles

I’m here too… Just popping some pain killers and then gonna see if I can get to sleep… Well after a quick recky of the forum

Hope you get a decent sleep soon xxx

Going to try sleep now just watched i wore lipstick for my mastectomy inspiring film, at least i feel tired before 4am tonight. night all sweet dreams sue

Oops…am here again. Think it’s more a case of not wanting to go to sleep (rather than just not being able to). Feel like I’m delaying tomorrow by not going to sleep (twisted logic…lol). Just snacked on cheese & crackers washed down with hot choc. Now watching American Idol auditions. Will have to give in soon though or I might nod off when the oncologist is explaining what he’s going to subject me to!

Oh Dear,

Find myself here again. Reminds me of long nights with ES when he did everything but go to sleep until stupid o’clock. Resorted in the end to small tot of brandy in last bottle!! That did the trick. wonder if it would work for me in a coffee. Will try without it once more.

Night night sweet dreams to all

Hello

Just popping in. Settled down on the sofa ready for a good sleep. First night without Dennis! Trying to ignore the temptation of an opened box of Thornton’s chocs within reaching distance…

Hope to not be here later!

Twinky x x

Twinky, wasn’t it today you were meeting with your Onc to discuss chemo? If so please let me know the decision.

Hope you sleep well without old Dennis! Have you managed to resist temptation of Thornton’s?

Hi ladies, had a meeting with the hospice nurse today regarding my pain control or lack of it and she Said that I needed something that would calm me down and reduce my anxiety levels, she talked to my gp who greed for me to double up on the diazepam tonight.?

Feel very let down, and here k am again, climbing the Walls.

Jillxx

Oh dear Jill, poor you! Did the nurse say why she didn’t think extra pain control would help? Can you ring your GP tomorrow for a telephone consultation if you are unable to go to the surgery?

I hope the Diazepam work and you manage to sleep soon.

Lots of hugs.

Hi Libby

Yes cried in his office as he said four months of chemo (FEC-T) followed by radiotherapy. No peace for the wicked! He’s trying to make sure it doesn’t come back a third time! He’s very puzzled as to why I’m in this position again. I should have been ok after surgery & chemo the first time. Never mind, at least it’s been found & is being sorted!

Poor you Jill…lots of hugs & hope the tablets help give you a better night.

I’m sleepy so should be asleep soon…still think the Chocs are calling to me…

Twinky x x

Oh no Twinky, more chemo!

I’ve just finished EC-T, had 2 EC and 4 Tax, next is my op 23rd Feb followed by rads. Did you have rads last time? It sounds like you’ve accepted your regimen, but then we all know we don’t really have a choice do we? It’s our lives in their hands!

You could do with a bl**dy good sleep tonight, I so hope you get it.

Lots of hugs.

It’s the doctor that’s the stumbling block, the hospice nurse was not inpressesd at all but will getvthis sorted out in the morning , nobody should b expected to suffer like this I this day and age,

I will only deal with a few doctors at my surgery purely because of this.

Just watched dog the bounty hunter, that should send me off for sure!

Jillxx

Jill, you are quite right, no one should have to suffer as you are. The problem with GP’s is they don’t understand the effects of chemo or other treatments associated with BC. I was in abject pain a couple of months back and rang my unit, they spoke to my GP and told her exactly what to prescribe, luckily she listened. I hope all is sorted for you tomorrow, and hope you manage to sleep soon.

Be thinking of you, do let us know the outcome.

Take care,

Libby x

Burning the midnight oil again

Twinky I am so sorry to hear that you have to undergo chemo, rads actually the whole lot. Loved your relationship with Dennis and had a good giggle reading your posts. Hope you are sound asleep by now (after a few chocs) and that you have no pain from your drain site. I used a pillow under my arm and a hot water bottle which worked wonders.
Jill do hope you will get pain relief suitable to you tomorrow.

Hope I am the only one not asleep

Hugs from Alanaa
