Hi everyone, I need your help ladies, I am alone and need someone to talk to , express my fears, get emotional support. I didn’t tell anyone about my diagnosis that’s ehy I can’t talk ti family and friends. I consulted a psychologist but didn’t offer me much help. I am post mastectomy, chemo and radiation.
Almost a year now and still struggling to accept what happened to me physically and emotionally.
I have pain in my left breast which made me anxious and lost thinking that I might have cancer in the other side and have to go all over again through therapy will drive me crazy. I have not recovered yet.
I need to have a friend from one of you ladies. If anyone is willing please contact me.
Thank you all
Hi Amany,
Sorry to hear how you’re feeling, but what you describe is common to many of us here on completing treatment.
Is there anyone amongst your family or friends who you can talk to? It must have been hard keeping it to yourself.
There maybe a ‘Moving Forward’ course in your area, your team will be able to advise on this, or alternatively the nurses on the helpline here 0800 800 6000 will be able to help.
Sending hugs

Hello and welcome, I wanted to echo ann’s post.
Another thought is there a Maggies Centre or MacMillan centre near you that you could visit. They do offer counselling sessions as well, which you might find helpful rather than the psychologist, so do not give up on that.
With regard to the pain in your other breast it might be an idea to contact your breast care nurse and talk that over with her to see what she suggests and also to get peace of mind. I know when I had my diagnosis my bcn suggested that if I needed counselling she could arrange something for me through the clinic, so that might be another option to talk through with her.
It is quite normal to feel the way you do, a lot has happened in a short space of time and getting your head around all of it does take time, but honestly it does get better with time.
Sending you hugs xxx
Thanks
Unfortunately I was treated in another country rather than my home country. Mow I went to live in my country which I don’t have a medical file and not been followed in any center. That’s why I have to seek help on my own.
I just need a friend who understand my feelings and I don’t have to explain myself every time.
Thanks
I am also suffering as you are reporting . I also need your help.
