Hi Everyone,
I’m hoping someone may be able to recommend any books for me? My sister has been diagnosed with advanced breast cancer, she’s 25. The disease is progressing quickly, I feel I need to get up to speed with what to expect and how to best care for her.
Any help is very gratefully recieved.
Sorry to hear about your sister. Its a bad enough disease at any age but at 25 is very unfair.
I have found Susan Love’s Breast Book to be a wonderful, well balanced, well researched source of information on all aspects. Its well-evidenced but written for the woman on the street, she uses lots of analogies to help understand some difficult points.
Its a big book and not cheap, I bought a second hand 2005 one on Amazon but then found out there was a more recent one issued in 2010 so bought that as this stuff changes so fast. Its American but other than finding they may be a bit ahead of us on a few things, I find it very relevant.
