Using Herceptin to Target Chemotherapy

This report looks interesting:

webmd.com/breast-cancer/news/20091215/targeted-breast-cancer-drug-shrinks-tumors

It is an approach that uses Herceptin, in HER2+ patients whose cancer has become Herceptin resistant, to target an otherwise very toxic chemotherapy drug so that it attacks only the cancer cells. The two drugs are combined into one.

Hope it is of interest to some.

Hi

Hi,

I too found this very interesting, but just wanted to add that there are some very good podcasts available to listen to via iTunes that are from an American oncologist called Dr Neil Love(search for it with his name). He and his collegues discuss all the new and existing treatments for breast cancer and because They are American and they are slightly ahead in cancer treatments, it is very informative to what’s in the pipeline.

Best wishes
