I HAVE JUST POSTED SOME NEWS ABOUT A SMALL LOCAL FUND RASING EVENT TO RAISE THE PROFILE AND SOME CASH FOR A SUPPORT GROUP FOR YOUNGER WOMEN I SET UP AND RUN.
THE ENTIRE POSTING HAS JUST BEEN REMOVED BECAUSE IT CONTRAVENES THE BCC TERMS AND CONDITIONS!!! THEY WONT LET ME DO IT UNLESS ITS TO DO WITH BCC!!!
I AM UTTERLY SPEECHLESS AND UPSET. i HAVE COMPLETELY BEEN SPURRED ON TO DO THIS EVENT AS I ATTENDED A FRIENDS FUNERAL ON FRIDAY WHO DIED OF BREAST CANCER AGED 35 YEARS!!
WHO IS THIS SITE FOR THE BENIFIT OF???
MY PARTNER HAS MULTIPLE SCLEROSIS AND HAS JUST APPLIED TO RUN NEXT YEARS LONDON MARATHON FOR BCC.
HE WONT BOTHER NOW!

debs suggestion is a good one - yif you have been on the boards a while you will have identified the people from around your area. you can easily PM them with details. A
nd no I dont agree, its not ridiculuous there are plenty of people on the site who are fundraising and they do not link their just giving pages in. Kate had a good fundraising effort going with a friend. IF BCC allowed it there would be alot of people with alot of links- very fair just to say none,

You’ve obviously misunderstood.
My message was originally in the posting for my support group not a general announcement, therefore mainly for our members. The sentimount behind the entire message was to generate a little positivity. One of young members has just died it was a little small focus for me/us. THATS ALL! Not ridiculous really.

Actually on this one I agree with BCC…I recently had a link removed to Kate’s marathon friend’s website…and so I just left a message for people to pm me…which is what I should have done in the first place

Why not have a category in the forum dedicated solely to fundraising links and info?
If we can have chitty chat and games - then why not some space for valuable information about raising money?
